I really want to try online dating but my friends say that it’s only for desperate, ugly people who are just looking for hook ups.

Is this true? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Cassy,

I don’t think this it true at all. Your friends may still believe there is a stigma to finding a partner online, so are too embarrassed to try it. However they needn’t worry because finding love online is fast becoming the meeting place of choice.

Most people today don’t look down on couples who have met through the internet. In this modern age of dating it’s the easiest way to broaden your network, these people are simply more tech-savvy.

Most dating sites are free to join and browse through member’s profiles. I think if you take a look you will be surprised at how many beautiful people are out there searching for love.
