Love in a new city

Hello and welcome to my first ever post for Dating Debate!

My first question comes from one of our Twitter (follow Dating Debate) followers.

Hi Didi,

After a truly messy break up with a long time love I have moved inter-state. The idea was New state, New city, New me but things have not gone as I had planned at all.

In my hometown I used to have a big social network of friends but without them I find it really hard to meet guys. I’m at the point where I feel like giving up and going back home. Please help!

Dear Mary,

I’m sorry to hear that you are having a hard time getting settled into your new home. I suppose if I was a psychologist or something I would tell you should never have left town to run away from your problems but personally I think that sometimes getting the hell out of a bad situation is the best thing you can do.

The best way to get out there is to join an Online Dating site because even if you don’t meet the man of your dreams, you could find a friend who invites you into his circle and introduces you around.
